Although a custom bridal shop may have examples and finished dresses for inspiration, work on a custom designed dress only begins after consultation between the bride and designer.

Beginning with a blank canvas and an idea, brides work with a designer to hand craft their vision into an exclusive dress and experience. Truly one-of-a-kind, custom made dresses are the ultimate bridal experience, represent the highest levels of quality, and are made to the exact measurements of the bride.
As with any fashion or art, the cost of a design is heavily influenced by the complexity and the selected materials. This is true for both off-the-rack and custom designed dresses.

An important consideration when selecting a dress is the added costs associated with alterations and shop service fees. For off-the-rack dresses, these fees can pile up - making an off-the-rack dress comparably priced to a custom designed dress. A $2500 dress taken from the stock of a chain store can easily require $750 or more in alterations to achieve an optimum fit and perfect shape - considerations that are included in the price of a custom designed dress.
